Important Information
Jukebox Dimensions: Height: 152cm | Width: 82cm | Depth: 64cm | Weight: 157 kg.
How far do you travel? As a rough rule of thumb we can usually cover hires within about a 80 mile radius of our Harrogate base. Clearly, the delivery charge you pay is directly linked to the overall distance we have to cover. (Our journey start postcode area for the calculation is "HG1" in Harrogate).
Delivery and collection times In hotels and restaurants it depends upon the function rooms availability so we liaise with management and do try and setup on the day, usually between 09:00 ~ 10:30 with the collection arranged for the following day at a similar time. In private houses times can of course be more flexible.
Access Problems: Stairs and Steps Navigating our Jukebox up a flight of stairs is not possible. To access function rooms located on upper floors or in basements we have to use the venues lift or failing that, their wheelchair hydraulic platform (most venues with upper floors should have at least one of the above access methods these days). Navigating two or three internal or external steps is not usually a problem as we carry our own ramps and a trolley. Please raise any concerns you may have about site access at the time of booking.
Moving the Jukebox into a different position To avoid accidental damage to the glass bubble tubes and to stop the CDs from dislodging we do not recommend the jukebox is moved once we have delivered and set it up. We always try and setup in the position it needs to be used and liaise with hotel management in this respect. We therefore see no reason for anybody to move it unless the setup or collection time is a problem, in these cases do not be tempted to move it but let us know the problem and we can usually find a work-around.
Can I hire a jukebox for outside use in a marquee? Yes, however, this depends upon certain factors. For example the size and quality of the marquee which must be 100% weatherproof and capable of withstanding heavy rain and very strong winds, the site security, the type of flooring and of course, ease of access to the grounds are also a consideration.
Power requirements for use in a marquee We recommend you discuss all mains power provision with your marquee supplier or a qualified electrician. We require the hirer to provide a standard 240v RCD protected power socket to within about a meter of the jukeboxes location. The mains power into your marquee must be connected and live at the agreed delivery time (so we can setup) and also at the agreed collection time (so we can pack down).
Can I add my own CDs into the Jukebox? We provide the optional Audio Accessory Pack which contains an Apple iDock so you can use your own iPod or iPhone to play any music over and above those titles supplied in the pre-installed CD collection. When the optional Accessory Pack is not hired (Jukebox "on-its-own") then we can sometimes add one or maybe two of your own CDs providing enough notice is given and the CDs are the original copies as opposed to CDR copies.
What is the Six Song Rule? Up to six songs can be entered into memory at any one time. This limit is to stop guests pre-loading too much music.
Is there a REJECT button? Yes, on the rear of the Jukebox. Pressing REJECT will stop the song that is playing meaning the next song in the Jukebox memory will start soon after.
Insurance, PLI and PAT Testing: We are fully covered for all eventuates with our PLI policy. Also, our equipment is tested for electrical safety (PAT tests), the certificates are available upon the request of your chosen venue’s management.
Damage Occurring During a Hire: The hirer has a duty of care regarding our equipment so in certain circumstances we may seek a contribution towards any repair costs from the hirer.
