How did the Jukebox evolve?
When working as a DJ in a country hotel back in 2003, I spotted an opportunity. I saw there was a Jukebox in the corner which had been hired in for the previous evening’s party but had not yet been collected. After the party had ended, I played around with the Jukebox and thought … wow!
The following morning, I contacted Ian, (a DJ who had worked with me for over ten years), and I suggested we bought one together and that we would hire it out. We did just that, and our new business started in July 2003.
The first Jukebox was an NSM one, holding 100 vinyl records. In 2006, we added a Wurlitzer Jukebox, and in 2009 again changed both of those for two new Wurlitzer 1015 OMT CD Jukeboxes, the ones we still use today.
These Jukeboxes look brilliant and have been centre of attention at parties. They have stolen the show at hotels and restaurants, golf clubs, marquees, private houses, car show rooms and many other venues.
The Jukeboxes play music from 100 CDs. The range is carefully worked out, to include music for all ages, covering many ‘greatest hits’ as well as a wide variety of music, including Motown, 60s through to the 2020s, Rock ‘n’ Roll, etc., etc. Please see a full list of the music in the Jukebox at present, by following the ‘music’ link. Over the years, Ian has since left the business leaving me to run the show, and I am as keen as ever. I shall always reply to any quotation request, even if your event is a little out of my travel radius. Being based in North Yorkshire I am no stranger to a long drive! My regular customers include:
- The Crab and Lobster at Asenby, Thirsk

My customers are always happy to provide an up-to-date, honest review of my services. Once I know what type of event you are hosting, I can put you in touch with previous customers to get an independent review of my Jukebox hire service.
